Learn the basics of relief-printmaking with local printmaker Taelor Worthington. Workshop attendees will learn how to transfer a design, and then carve it into a soft-cut printing block using a lino-cutting tool, practice rolling out relief ink, and print their carved blocks onto printmaking paper. The design options were created by Taelor using vintage botanical and scientific illustrations that were rendered to be more beginner friendly, and adjusted to the correct size for this project. Participants will receive guidance and helpful tips throughout the process as they carve a 4x6 inch block, in order to create an 8x10 inch relief print to display in their home. Each attendee will leave this beginner-friendly class with an introductory knowledge of relief printmaking. This workshop is a 15+ activity. No experience necessary, and all supplies provided.
