Pacifica Quartet

Presented by Chamber Music Society of Logan at Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall - Utah State University

With a career spanning nearly three decades, the multiple Grammy Award-winning Pacifica Quartet has achieved international recognition as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. The Quartet is known for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and often-daring repertory choices. With its powerful energy and captivating, cohesive sound, the Pacifica has established itself as the embodiment of the senior American quartet sound. The members of the Pacifica Quartet serve as quartet-in-residence and full-time faculty members at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

Sergei Prokofiev: Quartet No. 2 in F major

Sean Shepherd: World Premier

Antonin Dvořák: Quartet in A-flat major, Op. 105

Frederick Tillis: Spiritual Fantasy No 12 for String Quartet (select movements)

Admission Info

Single tickets are available for advance purchase or at the door. Prices are $24 for regular admission, and $10 for student admission. Seating is general admission.

Discounted ticket subscriptions are available for the full five-concert series or for a pick-three set. Prices for the full five-concert series are $96 for regular admission and $40 for student admission. Pick-three prices are $66 and $27.

The concert will be preceded by a brief lecture in the Performance Hall at 7:00 pm.

The Quartet will conduct a master class on Tuesday, September 13, 2022; the public is welcome to observe the master class at no cost. Details are posted at https://www.chambermusicsocietyoflogan.org/outreach
