Join us for an exploration of the political consequences of art making activities in Salt Lake City and its communities along racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines, moderated by loveDANCEmore Artist-in-Residence Stephanie García.
This event, presented in collaboration with ProARTES México and Artes de México en Utah, will also be an opportunity to connect with David Herrera, co-founder of Latinx Hispanic Dancers United. LHDU is an annual symposium based in California that we are working to reimagine in satellite form in SLC as early as 2023. This event may also include special performance guests. Stephanie and David will be joined by Fanny Blauer (Artes de México en Utah), Fausto Rivera (RWDC), and Karina Villalba (pre-hispanic dance expert).
