Scandinavian Folk Concert, Dance & Music Workshops, Banquet and Dance Party

Get in touch with your inner Scandinavian! This fall’s Scandi Fest is inspired by music and dance from Sweden and will feature music of the acclaimed Seattle area Nordic folk duo Peter Michaelsen and Joe Finn, plus dance instruction by Boulder, CO expert dancers Nancy Ellinghaus and Larry Utter. There will be something for everyone, including: Friday Concert, Dance and Music Workshop Sessions, and "Social Gathering" with catered banquet. Everyone is welcome! Separate music classes for regular fiddle and Norwegian Hardanger fiddle (hardingfele). Website link provides a registration packet with full details.

Admission Info

Friday Concert is $10. Saturday "Scandi Social" Party is Free. Saturday catered banquet dinner is $16 and payment must be postmarked by September 27.

Saturday and Sunday Music and Dance Workshop Sessions admission is $50 advance or $55 at the door; half price for students with ID. See Website link for information packet with schedule on bottom of registration sheet.

All events at E.W. Garbett Center, 700 N 200 W. Free street parking on 200 West—please park on the east side (Garbett side) of the street. Additional parking in the Warm Springs parking lot north of the Center.

Concert Attendees must wear N95, KN95, or KF94 masks. Attendees of all other sessions must wear these masks while indoors on site except while eating or drinking, plus must take a Covid rapid test prior to their first attended event but on the same day. Participants will be asked to show proof of their rapid test in the form of a smart phone photograph or the actual test itself.
