The cast of the Juab Fine Arts Council's Nutcracker Ballet would like to invite the community to view this year's performance of The Nutcracker Ballet on December 9th, 10th & 12th at 7pm in the Juab Fine Arts Auditorium in the county building 170 N Main Nephi.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Each year, volunteers create a variety of costumes and set pieces that are always changing and getting better. The cast ranges in age from 5 years old to Adult and features a wide array of talent from beginning dancers to ballerinas on pointe.

The Nutcracker is an 1892 two-act ballet, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The story of The Nutcracker is loosely based on the E.T.A. Hoffmann fantasy story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, about a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King.
