Back by popular demand! Join local printmaker Taelor Worthington for an introductory relief printing workshop at this arts & craft-cocktails night! Attendees will learn how to transfer a design, carve it into a soft-cut printing block using a lino-cutting tool, properly roll out ink, and print their carved blocks onto printmaking paper. The 5 design options were created by Taelor using vintage botanical and scientific illustrations that were rendered to be more beginner friendly, and adjusted to the correct size for this project. Participants will receive guidance and helpful tips throughout the process as they carve a 4x6" block, in order to create an 8x10" relief print to display in their home. Each attendee will leave this beginner-friendly class with an introductory knowledge of relief printmaking. Included in the purchase price of the workshop ticket, attendees will enjoy a signature cocktail (or non-alcoholic mocktail!) at Alibi Bar & Place, handcrafted with care by Alibi’s talented bartenders. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to purchase additional beverages during the class if they so choose. This workshop is a 21+ event. No experience necessary and all supplies provided.

About The Instructor: Hello, I’m Taelor of Tae Worth Studio. This year, I’m celebrating ten years as a printmaker. I started studying different types of studio art and printmaking early on in college and haven’t stopped working with carving tools and cans of ink since. My linocut prints are largely inspired by bits of earthy magic within the natural world, folk tradition, and ancient myth.
