The Art of Improvisation: Indian Classical Music in the Hindustani Tradition. Ceramics and music both rely on moment-to-moment decisions to shape their aesthetic outcomes. These fascinating likenesses and differences will be explored through the juxtaposition of the current exhibtion Unearthed: The NEHMA Ceramics Collection & The Woman Behind It with a concert of Indian Classical Music in the Hindustani tradition. Featuring Sitarist Arjun Verma & Tablaist Debanjan Bhattacharya. The Museum + Music series is curated by Associate Professor of Musicology Christopher Scheer, and supported by the Music Department of the Caine College of the Arts.
