Behind the Scenes, the Natural History Museum of Utah’s most beloved weekend of the year, is on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 & 12. Museum guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to explore 12 active labs and collections areas, talk with researchers and tour state-of-the-art facilities where the Museum cares for more than 2 million objects in its collections. Normally off-limits to regular visitors, these areas will be open to the public for two days only, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Behind the Scenes weekend offers another can’t miss opportunity this year; NHMU’s Climate of Hope exhibition will be open in the Sky Gallery on the fifth floor. Climate of Hope encourages community-level action to build a thriving future in a world with a changing climate.
In honor of Veterans Day, all veterans will receive free museum admission with valid ID. University of Utah faculty, staff, and students receive complimentary admission, as do individuals enrolled with a federally or state recognized tribe.
