The Utah Blues Festival is the only event in Utah that celebrate Blues music and its rich history through performances and free workshops.
The Utah Blues Festival is a 1.5 day event held each year at the Gallivan Center. We will feature 3 bands on Friday and 6 bands on Saturday. The line-up and description of the artists playing can be found at: UtahBluesFest.org. The artists playing represent the many different genres of Blues music, (country blues, traditional blues, soul, Chicago blues, blues/rock, roots, and Zydeco). The artists selected represent not only the diversity of blues music, but also diversity in terms of age, ethnicity, and gender. We also conduct FREE workshops (harmonica, Cigar Box Guitar making, Panel discussions on the history and performance of Blues). We have a wide range of artistic and non-profit vendors, a variety of Food Trucks and various libations for sale. This is all held as a family friendly event and is considered one of the best run blues festivals in the country.
This blues festival is considered one of the best blues festivals, of its size, in the country. It now attracts an audience from all parts of Utah and the rest of the country, including Canada. We are seeing a steady increase in the number of people coming from outside the state, many for the first time. Not only for the festival, but also now to see all that this wonderful state has to offer.
All kids 12 and under, as always, get in free with an accompanying adult.
