Grand Opening For the New Pterosaur, Dimorphodon

Grand Opening For the New Pterosaur, Dimorphodon

Presented by St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm at St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm

The Grand Opening will introduce the latest replica created in St. George specifically for this museum. The "Lords of the Wings" Special Exhibit featuring pterosaurs will be enhanced by the addition of this new restoration of a Dimorphodon and the complete display will extend through April 2014.  The pterosaurs ruled the air during the Age of Dinosaurs and eventually became the largest animals to ever fly. They have been made popular in films and literature but are even more fascinating when you can see the variety and uniqueness of the many species. The new Dimorphodon is an early pterosaur that would have sailed through the skies almost 200 million years ago above the dinosaurs who made the tracks found at the Dinosaur Discovery Site.
