Week-long music camp for violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and trumpet students and teachers studying the Suzuki Method and beyond.
Student Week: June 17-22, 2024
Chamber Days/Cello Festival/Teacher Training: June 13-22, 2024
The Intermountain Suzuki String Institute is a summer music program inspiring young musicians and teachers to achieve their potential hosting over 600 participants annually with teaching faculty from all over the world. This year's student programs welcome violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and trumpet. Our teacher training program will include ECC, violin, viola, cello, guitar, brass, as well as multi-instrument courses. We are excited to offer both in-person and online options for teacher training. Several free concerts are open to the public throughout the week!
Our 2024 Young Artist Program is for advanced violin, viola, cello, bass, and guitar students through the concerto level. Most participants are junior high school and high school students; however, all ages are welcome to participate. The ISSI Young Artist Program is not a traditional Suzuki program; therefore, traditional students who meet the playing level requirements are a great fit for this program. Our Young Artist Program guest artists will be violinist ChloƩ Kiffer and cellist Amit Peled. A fun addition for our advanced students is Chamber Days with the Fry Street Quartet which is a 10-day intensive camp for student quartets to work hand-in-hand with members of the Fry Street Quartet. Advanced cellists can be a part of our new Intermountain Cello Festival program, a cello intensive focused on solo performance, cello chamber ensembles, and cello choir 3 days prior to the main week of institute.
Please join us for an exciting year!
Tuition Prices for each program can be found on our website.
Our afternoon and evening concerts are free to the public.
