Art Exhibit: "Utah Women Making History" Illustrations by Brooke Smart

Presented by Cottonwood Heights Arts Council at Cottonwood Heights City Hall

From April 1-May 4, the Cottonwood Heights Arts Council in partnership with the Utah Division of Museums Traveling Exhibit program, will be displaying the colorful and informative illustrations of Brooke Smart @brookesmartillustration . The exhibit is entitled "Utah Women Making History."

Brooke Smart's artwork in this collection highlights Utah women who worked to advance women's rights. The series was commissioned to celebrate three major women's rights anniversaries in 2020: the 150th anniversary of the first votes cast by women in Utah, the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, and the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. The exhibit honors Utah women’s strides in a wide variety of fields and has been made into an illustrated book: “Champions of Change, 25 Women who made history."

"Utah Women Making History" will be showcased at Cottonwood Heights City Hall lobby located at 2277 E. Bengal Blvd. Weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 - May 4.

This Art Exhibit is made possible with support from the Cottonwood Heights Arts Council the Zap Grant @slcozap , and the Utah Division of Museums @utahartsandmuseums.
