Presented by American Festival Chorus and Orchestra at Tabernacle on Temple Square

Sunday, April 28, 2024 - 7:30pm

Please join the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra as they present The Restoration, an inspiring oratorio by celebrated Utah composer Merrill Bradshaw, of Brigham Young University. The work premiered 50 years ago, with Dr. Craig Jessop as baritone soloist.  We are honored to perform this work in the year of its 50th anniversary.

Joining the choir and orchestra will be four celebrated soloists: Melissa Heath, mezzo soprano from Utah Valley University, Tamara Mumford, mezzo soprano and a veteran of the New York Metropolitan Opera, Thomas Glenn, Grammy Award-winning tenor from Utah State University, and Darrell Babidge, bass soloist and chair of the voice faculty at The Juilliard School.

We hope you will join us for the finale of the 2023-24 season as AFCO celebrates the 50th anniversary of the marvelous and inspirational work.
