Dvorak's New World Symphony with the Bountiful Philharmonia

Dvorak's New World Symphony with the Bountiful Philharmonia

Presented by Bountiful Philharmonia at Viewmont High School

The New World Symphony is one of the most well-known and loved symphonies. Dvorak composed this work in 1893 while he was living in the United States. The beautiful melodies in this symphony were influenced by African-American and Native-American music as well as elements from Bohemia and the "Old World" of Europe. Your ears and imagination are in for a treat whether this is your first or 100th time listening to this symphony. During this concert, we will also present Chabrier's España, composed in 1883 after Chabrier visited Spain. The catchy melodies and dance like character are sure to delight.
