Wasatch Mountain Camerata, a string orchestra for young people, will present their Spring Concert on April 21, 2014. Guest artist Dr. Robert Baldwin will join them in Vivaldi's "Concerto with Viola d'Amore in D Major. This baroque instrument has 14 strings, seven can be bowed and the other seven are below the bowed strings and resonate when the instrument in played. Dr. Baldwin is the proud dad of our bass player Daren Baldwin and is also Director of Orchestras at the University of Utah and an accomplished violist.
The concert will also include "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen" by Grieg and " Concerto for Two Violins" by Corelli, with soloists from the orchestra Sarah Adamson and Kate Murray. This is a family-friendly concert and the public is welcome.
