Pinnacle Acting Company is pleased to announce that it will be bringing Albee’s award-winning masterpiece Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? to Utah for the first time in 32 years.
Who’s Afraid of Virgina Woolf? examines the disintegration of the marriage of a middle aged couple, George and Martha. Set on the campus of a small New England university, it opens with George and Martha coming home from a faculty party. Clearly George and Martha care deeply for each other, but university politics and life’s disappointments, have turned their marriage in to a nasty battle between two disenchanted, cynical enemies. Even though the George and Martha arrive home at two o’clock in the morning, they receive an unwitting younger couple, Nick and Honey, as guests and draw them into their bitter and frustrated relationship.
Pinnacly Acting Company’s production will be directed by Larry West and stars Jared Larkin as George, Teresa Sanderson as Martha, Mike Brown as Nick and Marin Kohler as Honey.
This two-time Tony Award winning play has recently received rave reviews in the New York Times and New York Post and Director Larry will be presenting Pinnacle's production "as Albee intended it to be: age appropriate, with humor, passion, honesty…and most of all with love."
