Here Comes the Big Band Tribute – 2014

Draper Arts Council announces auditions for this year’s encore of its popular Big Band Tribute. This salute to the bands, singers, composers and the “spirit” of the Big Band Era will be presented August 1-2 at the Draper Amphitheater. Valaura Arnold will be the music director for this production.

Auditions will be June 7th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Draper Amphitheater. We are looking for singers and dancers, including Lindy Hop ensemble groups, so if you know any of those, let them know that we would love to showcase their “air stepping.”

Singers should come prepared with 32 measures of a Big Band tune, up-tempo, novelty, or ballad. Bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. No a cappella, karaoke, or minus tracks.
