In this course students will learn to critically analyze tone and traditional methods of creating chiaroscuro and other light and shadow painting techniques. Students will be working monochromatically to help them better understand value and the foundation of oil painting. These skills will be carried forward in the next term when we introduce a painting class that focuses on color. Instructor: Clint Whiting
