Join American West Symphony with this year’s concerto competition winners, directed by Joel Rosenberg with guest conductors Richard Chatelain and Mark Johnston. The concert features two movements from Dvorák’s beloved Symphony No. 9, From the New World, inspired by American folk song, and one of his Slavonic Dances, informed by his Slavic cultural heritage. The program also includes two movements of Mozart’s dazzling Piano Concerto No. 20, and “Cascade” for orchestra by living composer Mark Johnston.
