In October 2013, an incident took place in the park that grabbed worldwide attention. A timeless geological formation – one of the goblins – was toppled by a careless visitor who posted a video of the act online. Join the park naturalist for a short hike to this feature, during which there will be a discussion of both the geology of the "Valley of Goblins," as well as why it is important to "leave no trace" while exploring the park. The round-trip distance for this hike is approximately 3/4 mile, with some uneven terrain. Water, as well as comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended.
