Bad Dog Arts - Summer Camp: Nature Legends (Grades...

Presented by Bad Dog Arts and TreeUtah at Salt Lake City Public Library Day Riverside Branch

Everyone loves a good story! Spend the mornings listening to legends and mythologies of the Natural World drawn from a variety of Native American tribal cultures in the Eco Garden with TreeUtah. Campers will have the opportunity to explore the Permaculture Orchard as they learn about the relationships between the plants and animals that live there. Students will learn basic permaculture gardening skills, practice their observational skills, and craft their own stories based on their discoveries. Campers can expect to get their hands dirty! In the afternoons, we will create animal masks, make clay sculptures, and paint with traditional art materials. Campers should wear clothes that are appropriate for the outdoors and closed toed shoes.
