Clark Planetarium’s newest showcase exhibit, Science On a Sphere (SOS)®, fills the lobby with a global display system. Science on a Sphere uses advance computing systems to project a multitude of video sequences onto a six foot diameter sphere. Image sets include Earth’s weather systems, plate tectonics, ocean temperatures and Earth at night. Also presented are the Milky Way, Sun, Moon and the other planets of our Solar System. Future enhancements will include narrated programs and live demonstrations.
The South parking garage features two direct entrances to Clark Planetarium on levels -1 and 0. The first hour is no charge, and from one to two hours is $1.00. Over two hours, additional rates apply. This is accurate as of July, 2017 and subject to change without notice.
Clark Planetarium will validate parking for our patrons: 3 hours for $1.00. Additional parking fees apply after the first 3 hours. Validations from the other Gateway merchants may reduce potential parking fees. Please pay for parking as you leave the parking lot.
There is available free and metered parking on the street, as well as other public pay lots conveniently located nearby.
Take TRAX to the new Planetarium Stop, at our front door. TRAX service operates during all planetarium operational hours, including late night on Friday and Saturday. Please see TRAX schedules for details and holiday schedule changes.
