Alta Ski Area Tree Planting

Alta Ski Area Tree Planting

Presented by TreeUtah and Alta Ski Area at Albion Grill

Trees are vital not only to the beauty of the mountains, but to the health of our watersheds and the operation of resorts like Alta Ski Area. We hope you’ll join us to discover a whole new side of Alta by joining us to plant 1,500 native trees along with the Alta Environmental Center! Both rugged and rewarding; this will be a fun opportunity to enjoy the Wasatch Mountains and give back to the beautiful Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Registration is REQUIRED HERE.

Bring: Protective clothing (from sun, rain or other elements), sturdy closed-toe footwear, water bottle, gloves, sunscreen and a pack to carry these belongings.

A light breakfast will be provided including donations of coffee and tea from Starbucks and bagels from Einstein Bros Bagels, as well as bars from KIND Healthy Snacks. The Albion Grill will be offering 25% off food for volunteers to enjoy lunch after planting.

We need 100 motivated volunteers (ages 14+). Online registration is required because we need to know your hiking abilities to keep the event fun and safe. Some groups will ride lifts and some will hike to plant, but all will be in intermediate to advance mountain terrain. Please indicate your hiking ability on the registration form. Invite friends and family via our Facebook event page.
