2015 Annual Utah State History Conference

2015 Annual Utah State History Conference

Presented by Utah Division of State History at Utah Cultural Celebration Center

Utah is – and always has been – an eclectic mix of peoples and communities. The histories of ethnicity, gender, work, and family, from the perspective of ordinary people, do more than pepper diversity in Utah history: they fundamentally change and enhance our understanding of the state and its past.

The Utah Division of State History selected this annual theme – “Deep Roots, Many Voices: Exploring Utah’s Multicultural Past” – to urge the history-loving public, schools, universities, historical groups and others to reflect on and document our remarkable statewide story.

We hope that the presentations, discussions and documentaries will act as a catalyst for oral histories, documentaries, book and conversations at home.
