We are kicking off our 2016 year by featuring prints and portfolios organized by Utah artists, Adam Larsen (Snow College, Ephraim) and Andrew Rice (University of Utah, Salt Lake City). These portfolios showcase Utah and Intermountain printmakers. We will be celebrating the vitality and unique vision of our contemporary local printmakers during the Sugar House Art Walk

‘Squared’ portfolio, was organized by Adam Larsen. Adam invited his printmakers to confront the square visually. The square format was uncommon in art until the advent of abstraction and presents distinct challenges of composition and expression.

‘Communities West 2’ portfolio was organized by Sukha Worob (Montana State University) and Andrew Rice. The first Communities West portfolio was so succesful Sukha and Andrew created part deux.

Last summer, Andrew Rice was at the AltPress (Salt Lake City Main Library) event printing exquisite corpse steamroller prints. We will have examples of the Large prints on display and the small set of playing cards re-created from the originals on display.
