Davis County Celebration Orchestra is joining the Davis Master Chorale to perform two Dan Forrest pieces: The Requiem for the Living, and In Paradisum
The Davis County Celebration Orchestra, with Music Director Kent Nelson, and the Davis Master Chorale, directed by Jim Johnson, will perform a Spring Concert together. The performance will be held at Layton High School, 440 Wasatch Dr. Layton, UT 84041.
The newly formed Davis County Celebration Orchestra is joining the Davis Master Chorale for their combined Spring Concert. Together they will perform two Dan Forrest pieces: The Requiem for the Living, and In Paradisum as well as some stand-alone choir and orchestra works. This is sure to be a majestic concert with the magnitude of a full symphony orchestra and choir.
The Davis County Celebration Orchestra, founded January 2016, by combining the strengths of Davis County Symphony and the Celebration Chamber Orchestra. The Davis County Celebration Orchestra is an all volunteer organization open to all musicians 9th grade and older and is under the direction of Music Director and Conductor, Kent Nelson, and Assistant Music Director, Dan Rich. The symphony members come from various parts of Northern Utah.
The Davis Master Chorale is an all volunteer, non auditioned, community choir composed primarily of, but not limited to, Davis County residents. Jim Johnson has been the Director for over ten years. Christie Canfield is the Piano Accompanist.
