When four young men, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork, and the late Davy Jones, were cast in the TV roles of a struggling rock band, few could have predicted the impact The Monkees would make on music pop culture — an impact that still reverberates now. Their first single, “Last Train to Clarksville,” was released in 1966, followed by “I’m A Believer,” “Steppin’ Stone,” ”Words,” “Daydream Believer,” “Vallerie,” and other hits, all making their way into the Billboard Top 40. Now, Dolenz and Tork carry on with a full evening of all The Monkees hit music and multi-media splendor, including clips from their Emmy Award winning TV series, acoustic sets, and solos.
