The Kanab Heritage House Museum was originally built as a home for Henry and Mary Bowman who were early settlers in Kanab. The home was commissioned for building in 1892 and was described by Henry Bowman as “the first modern home in Kanab.”. It would serve as home to several prominent families in Kanab before it was purchased by the City of Kanab and restored to be used as a historical and heritage museum. The Kanab Heritage House Museum maintains a collection of original and period furnishings as well as other artifacts. As you take a guided tour you will learn about the people and early history of Southern Utah.
