Nestled in the mountain valley of Salt Lake City, Utah, Westbound Horror Fest (WHF) is an immersive three-day horror film festival that hosts genre-bending films, interactive experiences, horror/crime podcast panels, musical performances and much more. In addition to showcasing national and international features and shorts, WHF offers a Utah student shorts competition and grant. We celebrate independent film across the horror spectrum, with a commitment to supporting our local community alongside our out of state guests.
Our Response to COVID-19 :
Westbound Horror aims to carve a creative space for genre enthusiasts by spotlighting and supporting independent arts spanning the horror landscape. We showcase national, international, local and student films in Utah — our homebase — while fostering community among artists and audiences.
