Babcock Performing Readers is an organization open to anyone who is interested in supporting our artistic mission:  “Bringing Literature to Life Through Live Performances.”  Our Mission Statement emphasizes that we are a performance-oriented organization, not a book for literary club.  Our goal is to preserve the art of oral interpretation, carrying over the richness of meaning from the page to the eyes an ears of the listeners.

Free Performances:  We invite members, guests, and the public to free performances directed by professionals in a comfortable and modern venue.  The small membership fee provides a monthly flyer, the chance to read on stage in the “impromptu” and “pot luck” events, and to participate in workshops — meaning a third possible time on stage.  Become a member now for the best arts bargain in the state.

Performance Venue:  All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. every third Thursday from September to May at Whitmore Public Library located at 2197 East Fort Union Blvd in Cottonwood Heights.  The performance space just inside the front door to the right and down the stairs.  There is an elevator available at the top of the stairs if needed.
