Timpanogos Chorale is a group of vocalists and musicians who donate their time and talents to fulfill their need to sing beautiful music and to provide quality entertainment to the communities in which they reside. The choir is sponsored by the American Fork Arts Council of the City of American Fork, Utah, and has been around for decades. The choir has previously been known by other names – most recently, the North Utah County Community Choir. Their 60+ members hail from communities throughout Utah County. Timpanogos Chorale plays an increasingly important role in the cultural life of Utah County. It is a non-profit organization governed by a board of directors who also have a great love of music and seek to enrich the musical lives of choir members as well as the citizens of Utah Valley. They perform three concerts a year – Spring, Summer and Christmas – and are hoping to expand these horizons. They also invite other musical groups to join them in concert. These have included the Utah Premier Brass, a local Bluegrass group, and the Utah Children’s Choir. Their present conductor is Kenna Mills, a private vocal instructor, who has taught for 11 years, and who currently resides in Cedar Hills, Utah. She has a Bachelor of Vocal Performance Pedagogy from Brigham Young University and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Kenna has taught music and conducted choirs in Newhall, CA; Salinas, CA; and Northern Utah County. She has a great love of music and a desire to share it with everyone. They are also pleased to feature guest conductors such as Dr. Donald Ripplinger, recently retired conductor of the world renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir, who has joined them for their last two Christmas concerts. Their current pianist is Sheralyn Hess, a prominent local pianist.
