The Park City Historical Society and Museum is located in the heart of Park City’s historic Main Street. Established in 1981, the mission is to preserve, protect, and promote Park City s heritage! Park City is well known for skiing and for hosting the annual Sundance Film Festival, so visitors are often surprised to learn about the town’s origins as a silver mining camp. Prospectors discovered silver here in 1868.
