The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, consisting of adult members as well as choristers of the Madeleine Choir School, exists principally to serve the Cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City. Established in 1909, the choir is dedicated to preserving the heritage of sacred music and sings a wide variety of liturgical music. They have performed on six international tours, most recently in Spain in the autumn of 2008. In addition to participating in liturgical services, the choir has its own annual concert series and also collaborates with local arts organizations such as Utah Symphony and Utah Opera.
