Payson Community Theatre, Inc. has as its goal and objective the cultural improvement of the community of Payson and the surrounding area. Payson feels that the best way to improve the cultural climate is to bring cultural experiences to individual members of a community. Those who participate in these cultural experiences first hand realize more growth than those who participate as an observer (audience), although both can definitely benefit. Therefore, the first objective is to involve as many people as possible in the various performing arts that are produced in the community, thus helping them gain an appreciation for and a better understanding of the performing arts as well as providing opportunities for them to develop and share their own talents.
