Janet Gray Studios’ philosophy of dance is focused on technical and precision training and the development of an educated appreciation for the arts. This studio is focused on giving students the ability to be rounded in their capabilities.

Professional auditions now require knowledge of Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and of course Ballet. We offer professional education in all these areas.

Not every student will choose to perform or pursue professional opportunities in dance. Should a student desire to audition for a professional production for theater, dance, Disney, cruise line, or even high school dance company, however, she/he should be adequately prepared for the experience.  Our studio provides the training needed to complete a well-executed audition including not only technical movement, but also presentation, discipline, adaptability and variation.  At the core of our training is a heavy emphasis on ballet technique.  Ballet is necessary for auditions in the jazz and musical theater arts and is required study for our students.  We are confident that our attention to careful and consistent technical training provides the foundation necessary to pursue professional career paths in the arts as demonstrated by our students who have enjoyed success in the entertainment industry.
