Camp Hobé is a special summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. We give kids the opportunity to participate in camp activities just like healthy kids whose families are not affected by cancer. Each year, Camp Hobé provides a 5-day overnight camp for ages 6-12 years, a 5-day overnight camp for ages 12-19 years, and a 2-day day camp for ages 4-7 years. Camp Hobé is their chance — sometimes their only chance — to just be kids, and to escape the grown-up realities they face everyday. We serve almost 230 kids each year from Utah and the referral area for Primary Children’s Medical Center. Kids and teens diagnosed with cancer may attend Camp Hobé while being treated with immunosuppressive therapy (chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or immunosuppressants) and for 3 camp seasons after their final immunosuppressive treatment. The cancer patient’s brothers and sisters may also attend during this time period. Camp Hobé, Inc. is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization.
