The Get Into the River Festival is a collaborative effort seeking to highlight the Jordan River & Parkway, as well as bring our community together to conserve and celebrate this open space treasure. Working together, we can collectively protect, restore and provide access to this natural resource for our community today, and the generations of tomorrow.

The Festival is divided into two days:

Conservation Day – This day includes efforts to clean-up and restore areas along and within the River such as removing trash and dead foliage, pulling weeds, re-seeding areas with native grass seed and plants, pruning trees, removing graffiti and refreshing paint. Corporate and community volunteer teams will spend approximately four hours working along the Jordan River.

Festival Day – The public will be invited to join in the fun by attending this free festival. Municipalities located along the Jordan River & Parkway will host celebration festivities and provide fun opportunities to learn about the animals and habitats supported by the River. Nonprofit organizations and community partners will give educational presentations and recreational demonstrations during the festivities. Attendees will also learn how they can work with members of their communities throughout the year to conserve, protect, restore and enjoy the Jordan River Parkway.
