Born in Oklahoma City, Kershisnik studied at Brigham Young University (BFA, 1988). He received an MFA in printmaking from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a painter (oils) and printmaker (lithography), well known for often whimsical images on canvas. Kershisnik has been a Utah Arts Council Fellowship finalist, and has exhibited his work in New York, Washington State, Oregon, Texas as well as throughout Utah.
