Brent Laycock was raised on a farm near Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; today his home and studio are in Calgary. He earned BFA and MFA degrees in art at Brigham Young University. For forty-plus years he has interpreted the southern Alberta landscape, working primarily in watercolor and acrylic paint. His art has been exhibited in Canada, the US, Mexico, Europe and Japan. Laycock has received numerous awards and commissions from postage stamps to murals, and his work is represented in Her Majesty’s Royal Collection at Windsor Castle, the royal collection of Queen Margrethe of Denmark, and in many corporate, university and public collections, including Brigham Young University.
