Peter Fillerup was born in Cody, WY, and was a popular sculptor specializing in wildlife and Western subjects. One of Avard Fairbanks’s most gifted students, he also studied at Brigham Young University in the mid-1970s. He created sculptures in both bronze and stone, and was known for his western and religious subject matter.
