Portrait of George E. Wahlen (August 8, 1924 – June 5, 2009) a United States Army major and Utah native who served with the United States Navy and was awarded the U.S. military’s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
