Susan Makov, a native of New York, has been living in Utah for over 30 years. Her work consists of oil and acrylic paintings, woodcuts, letterpress broadsides and handmade books. Makov, she attended Syracuse University (BFA), the State University of New York at Buffalo (MFA) and Brighton Polytechnic in England. Her work has been featured in national publications; among them are Margaret Atwood’s Mourning for Cats, Ray Bradbury’s My Cat Has Swallowed a Bumblebee, and Selling the Indian: Commercializing and Appropriating American Indian Culture.
