Lehi sculptor Andrew Smith is the son of Dennis Smith, a well-known Utah sculptor and painter. He attended classes at Utah Valley State College, but is largely self-taught as an artist. Smith creates sculpture from scrap metal and machine parts. In 2007, his work was included in Art of Invention, Invention of Art, at the United States Patent and Trademark Office Museum in Alexandria, Virginia.
