A resident of Kaysville, Utah, Christensen has participated in workshops presented by Nancy Lund, Osral Allred, and Carl Purcell. She also studied with Roger Cushing and Steve Hart. However, Christensen considers herself essentially self-trained as an artist in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pen and ink, and pencil.She is a member of the Utah Watercolor Society.
