Detroit native Maureen O’Hara Ure is an MFA graduate of the University of Utah, where she has taught since the 1980s. Her work is personal and metaphorical, often with fantastical animals in imaginary landscapes. The recipient of numerous awards, grants, and other honors, she has published artist’s books of her work, and collaborated on others with poet and fellow University of Utah professor, Katharine Coles.
