Born in Provo, Utah, Kathleen Bateman Peterson received a BA in commercial art from Brigham Young University and continued her artistic studies at the University of Hawaii and Snow College. She has lived in the Virgin Islands, Malaysia and Hawaii and traveled throughout southeast Asia and Central America. Peterson works in a variety of medium, including oil, watercolor, fabric and clay. She works from a studio in Spring City.
