Known primarily as an art historian, Dr. William R. South is also an artist. He is the author of numerous scholarly books and articles, most notably those about artists James Taylor Harwood and Stanton MacDonald-Wright. His drawings and paintings focus primarily on the landscape. South is now the Chief Curator at the at the Columbia Museum of Art in South Carolina.
