Murray High is the newest school in the Murray School District and opened in 2003 to serve around 1,600 students. The 260,000 square-foot school is a state-of-the-art building with many features including a commons area which serves as a lunchroom and a lobby for evening performances, an expanded auditorium, two gyms and a courtyard, which serves as the venue for MHS Arts Fest.
