The Valley Center Playhouse is a local community theater that was started over 30 years ago by Keith and Jody Renstrom. They felt a need for fun family entertainment and set out to fulfill that need when they could not find it themselves. The Renstroms have selflessly given of themselves to serve the community and provide opportunities for others to learn and grow and share their talents in a clean theater environment. The VCP is a nonprofit organization and everyone involved is a volunteer. The playhouse’s success is directly a result of the efforts of those willing to get involved and whose influence resonates throughout the community. Local playwrights, actors, directors, choreographers and others have all gained opportunities, experience, confidence and new friends through the Valley Center Playhouse.
