Matheson Junior High School is named after Utah’s Governor, Scott M. Matheson. Although Governor Matheson is no longer alive, the Matheson family has been very supportive and encouraging of the school and its students, and as a school, both students and staff, they strive to act and live in such a manner as would make their namesake proud.
